Reduce wildfire risk in populated areas
Slash piles left over by loggers increase the risk of uncontrollable fires near populated areas. Biomass One offers environmentally sustainable and economical solutions for forestry professionals to safely dispose of slash piles.
Keep wood waste out of landfills
Wood waste can be put to an array of productive uses. Biomass One prevents wood waste from heading to landfills and converts it into carbon-neutral electricity and environmental engineering substances.
Keep smoke out of the air
Seasonal air quality in the Rogue Valley can be quite bad. By providing an outlet for forestry professionals to economically dispose of wood debris during the warmer months. We reduce the likelihood of harmful illegal burns in our area. Our process filters the vast majority of harmful particulate matter from our emissions using electrostatic precipitators.
Enrich our soil
All that wood debris from the woods is used to produce Rogue Biochar, an organic soil amendment that sequesters carbon in the earth and improves almost all properties of soil. It creates a home for nutrients, water, and beneficial microbes.
Enable environmental clean ups
Our carbon products have been used in large scale environmental remediation projects funded by federal and state governments.
Reduce our reliance on fossil fuels for electricity
Biomass One sends 30 megawatts of carbon-neutral electricity back to the local power grid. That means that over 20,000 homes and businesses in the region are getting their power from a carbon-neutral source.
